About the Book
Imagine your world if you could visualize the memories and emotions of everyone you met. Welcome to the world of John Calabrace. John Calabrace’s life has been in havoc since he was six years old. He spends his life fighting through a flood of memories. Most all the memories he visualizes belong to others.
The second he touches another person, he knows every mundane detail of their lives-details that, try as he might, he can never forget. Is this ‘gift’ a blessing or a curse?
Although manageable in his earlier years, by college John feels overwhelmed by the constant flood of other peoples pain, sorrow, anger, lust, guilt, trust, envy and happiness to the point of his own forced isolation. John quickly decides that his ‘gift’ is actually a curse and finds the quiet solitude of a nuclear submarine the temporary answer to his pain. That relative peace is interrupted after being extracted and recruited into the dark world of espionage and cold war period of the 1980’s.
But John can only keep his secret for so long before people in high places begin to ask the wrong kinds of questions.
Is John an angel, is he a monster? The groups around him can’t decide. But there are dark forces working against him, forces he needs to find before they can find him. While John may know everyone else’s secrets, he has other secrets of his own. And if it they fall into the wrong hands, there’s no telling what might happen.

About the Author
Author John Tolliver |
Born and raised in New York, Johns desire to see the world led him to join the Navy after college. Instead of seeing exotic locals he was chosen to spend his service time hundreds of feet below the ocean in a nuclear submarine. After his Navy years, John spent a career in Nuclear Chemistry before becoming a broker of precious gemstones. This new found love of buying and selling gemstones gave John the opportunity to finally travel the globe, and finally see the places he had always dreamed of. From mining Opal in the Australian outback, to finding star ruby in the gem markets of Kuala Lumpur, or from the cutting shops of Mumbai or Bangkok, John continues to scour the globe.
In his free time John loves to cruise the globe on board Celebrity Cruises and volunteers his time at home as a mediator and arbitrator in the New York State courts.
