Twenty years later the couple embarked on a missionary trip to Korea where they adopted an orphaned brother and sister who had been trained in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do. Upon return to their ranch the family suffered hardships but persevered and developed the largest ranch in the area. The ranching community was tight knit with neighbor helping neighbor in time of need. It was a peaceful and lawful existence for the most part and then Jason Long moved into the community from the East. He started a bank in town and then through murder and intimidation began acquiring local ranches. However his key target was Gus and Sarah’s ranch as it held the water rights to the entire area. Without it he would not be successful in building his empire.
After Gus was shot the family decided to take a stand against Jason and fight for their very existence.
