About the Book
Vidar Bjornson carved the logging town of Whiskey Spit out of the wilderness on the Puget Sound. But he isn’t done. He promised his men brides and they will arrive in the spring.
No decent woman will have his uncouth loggers, so he requests an old maid teacher to polish their rough edges. Instead, his prankster brother sends beautiful Noelle Bridger, and his men are already fighting over her!
There’s no time to find a replacement so Vidar is stuck with the sassy woman.
With a scandal in Texas nipping her heels Noelle has no choice but to remain in Whiskey Spit and teach the ruffians. But the deceitful logging boss has a few lessons of his own to learn and she’s just the woman to him.
Will the schoolmarm’s loving lessons fell the timberman? Or will his secret past bring them both down?

- "What a wonderful book. The characters are so well developed that it's like you know them personally by the end of the book.A wonderful story of history, romance and evil.I loved every word of this book and cannot wait for the next one." - Tunasmommy (Amazon)

The story is set in the late 1800’s in the Northwest Territory, with a historical perspective, which appeals to me. It was lighthearted, funny, poignant and romantic, but also inspired anger and defensiveness for the characters, in other words, it hit all my buttons.[...]" - Patricia Simon
- "This delightful story brought all that back with how wonderful a true storyteller can be. Sharla Rae writes with an attention to detail that blends so well with the story and characters that it's like a movie unfolding before your eyes. [...]" - Dee (Amazon)
