"Love this book! As a big Harry Potter fan, I found this a great read to fill in that missing chapter (pun intended). I also used to watch Charmed with my daughter and this reminded me of that too - so a nice crossover.[...] Very empowering." - Reader Review

Abigail Harper has lost everything she’s ever loved. Her parents. Her home. And, eventually, her best friend. Afraid of almost everything and tormented at school by the only one she ever called friend, Abigail doesn’t think life could get any worse.
She soon realizes that life could get much worse. In fact, it could become an absolute catastrophe. During a cruel prank and in a moment of terrible weakness, Abigail makes a wish. And to her astonishment and utter horror, the wish comes true. And it brings with it monstrous consequences.
Now, she’s been shuffled halfway across the country, to a small New England town that not even the Internet seems to have a record of. And from the moment she arrives, Abigail knows something's off - maybe even seriously wrong - about the mysterious Shadow Springs.
Full of secrets, dark surprises and a sinister presence that seems hellbent on her destruction, Abigail must turn to a strange group of girls to find answers: The Lost Girls.
About the Author
Author Mari Bianca |
It’s not just regular books Mari loves. When she discovered Batman, her whole life changed. She also soon found herself relishing comic books, and her supportive parents kept her stocks high. She soon found herself especially interested in the villains in stories, especially ones with redeeming qualities. She still nurses a big soft spot for Lex Luthor.
Mari also has a special interest in child and adolescent development, and spends most of her time (when she’s not writing) with her nose buried in a book… or five.
Serenade is Mari’s debut novel, and she’s already hard at work on the next one.
“I sometimes find it hard to keep my feet on the ground. So I gave up on trying, and decided rather to bring my imagination out and let people float up with me.”
