About the Author
Author Janice L. Dennie |
The Lion of Judah series is a fictional work based on Ethiopian history. She began writing this series after reading an article in a news magazine referring to the past Emperor Haile Selassie as The Lion of Judah and how he traced his ancestry to King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. After researching the topic, she learned about Menelik I, son of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Menelik founded the kingdom of Ethiopia in the 10th century B.C. She also learned that Ethiopia is the oldest independent country in Africa and one of the most ancient in the world.
