New Indie Book Release:
Finding Mother - Anne Allen
Romantic Family Drama (302 Pages - October 2013)
"This was a really enjoyable feel-good story. Such a pleasure to read something that is not saturated with misery and horrid happenings. Of course there are moments where Nicole's journey is threatened, and there are ups and downs in mood. But that's what makes it so true to life. You feel that Nicole and her two families are real people with recognizable dreams and troubles, just like the rest of us.
Anne's lyrical descriptions give a wonderful sense of place, making it easy to mock up the pictures - the joy of reading!" - Reader Review

She's had a charmed life until then; a comfortable upbringing as the adopted daughter of an advocate and his wife in Jersey, followed by university and a successful career in radio and television. And the handsome, charming – and adulterous – husband, Tom. Although she's known since a child that she was adopted, it had never really figured in her life until now.
Perhaps it's time to find out who she really is and tracing her natural mother would help. So Nicole takes time away from her husband and her job and begins a journey that will bring her more than she bargained for. She travels from the marital home near Bath, UK, to Spain, Jersey and finally Guernsey. Long-buried secrets are unearthed – one going as far back as WWII - and lives are irrevocably changed by Nicole's search for self-awareness and knowledge of her 'real' parents.
