Featured Indie Book on Indie Author News: Romantic Suspense Sanctuary by Glyn Smith-Wild.
"The author’s love of France and all things French shows through his writing. The variety of characters from Ben’s naivety, Katie’s sexual antics, and Donald’s evil domination of Mary produces a recipe of love, laughter and disaster. One reviewer said: I found myself laughing or saying 'Oh no' out loud. There are surprises, twists and turns all the way through the book." - Reader Review
The Book has been self-published via OBS and CreateSpace and is available as eBook and Paperback – 280 pages - released in May 2012.
About the Book
When Ben receives a garbled email message he knows that the idyllic lifestyle that he had hoped for by moving to France is about to end.
Ben Coverdale has lived happily with Mary Willson for the past five years but on the fifth anniversary of their moving in together, Mary announces that she is leaving him to live with Donald, a man many years her senior.
Distraught, Ben now takes the opportunity to fulfil a dream that he has had for many years; to move to France and start a new life there.
He knows nothing of Mary’s concerns about Donald’s behaviour. He is doing his best to keep her away from her previous friends, insisting that she change her hairstyle, and buying strange, outrageous clothes for her. Things are made much worse when she discovers, and has to admit to Donald, that she is carrying Ben’s child.
As things rapidly deteriorate, Mary and her baby are taken, with the help of an old friend, to meet up with Ben, only to find that her old adversary, Katie, is there before her.
At first glance 'Sanctuary' may appear to be a romantic novel, but it isn't.
Nothing is as straightforward as it seems.

Reviews (Excerpts)
- “This is one of the most well written books I have read this year. The characters were realistic and interesting. The story was unpredictable which made it fun to read. The author clearly has a lot of knowledge about the settings he writes about which he passes on to his readers. [...]” - SEN Books
- “This book sucks you straight into the lives of the characters due to the compassionate way in which it is written. It allows you to know all about the people and surroundings in which it has been set. A beautiful story with twists and turns that I was not expecting which added excitement and intrigue. The settings were described so well I could I could imagine being there, eating the same food with the characters. [...]” - Toni Smith
- “The real charm of this book lies in the sumptuous descriptions and attention to detail. I can now imagine every inch of Ben's homes and the people in his life. The story draws you in and each night I found myself getting sleepy but thinking "just ONE more page" (several times!) There is enough action, romance and accurate geographical descriptions to please most readers I would think, this book has really stayed with me and I am desperate to get my hands on the sequel.. Enjoy! ” - Ladydebob

He has an eclectic taste in music, but would probably put Michael Jackson at the top of the list. His temptations are red wine and dark chocolate which he has difficulty in turning down.
