When Kip Livingston dreams inside Abasteron House on Horn Island, mysterious forces invade her dreams. A shadowy firehawk drags her into the sea and transports her deep beneath the waves where grey figures in sea-masks haunt.

Kip fears she’ll be trapped within this nightmare forever.

But when she wakes up, reality unravels. She brings back with her the pieces from her dreams, including a deep-throated serpent sliding across her bed sheets.

These supernatural elements are fully alive and so threatening, they drive her into the arms of Father Raymond Kera.

Raymond is exiled to Horn Island and struggling with his own hauntings.

Together they make the descent into alternate consciousness to discover the dark power of dreams.

"This is an atmospheric mystery, "soft horror," which is less violent than the traditional extreme horror. Rich characters, psychological undertones, romance, and murder make this little thriller a fast-paced read."

The author about her Debut Novel: "This is a book about nightmares. Everybody has nightmares. This story reflects what we all experience: fear, being out of control in threatening worlds. Who can control a nightmare or dream? While this is not a new concept in stories, Night Sea Journey takes this idea into a very personal place ... into the spiritual world of one dream where a firehawk has power over a young artist. Do you know what a firehawk is? It's not a Chevy, I'll tell you that much."
