Thus, by not conforming or accepting the status quo, each American can redefine the “American Dream.”

About the Author

Leonard Wilson Jr

Leonard Wilson, Jr. was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he started a career in the banking industry. He returned to college in 2005, as he relocated to Tennessee and graduated from a HBCU with a Bachelors of Science degree in Social Sciences.

His love for psychology grew as he later earned a master's degree in teaching from the University of Memphis. He taught special education for two years before he started his entrepreneurial career, a staple of his family.

Currently a MBA student, he is a proud father, husband, and Christian.

A self-claimed hip-hop and basketball enthusiast, his two favorite celebrities are Jay-Z and Kobe Bryant. He advocates against domestic violence and for educational equality for all students.

Leonard currently writes articles for Examiner.com covering the Memphis Grizzlies and giving career advice.
