Nobody's Fault is hard to fit it into a particular genre; it features bereavement and mental breakdown, but it's also funny in parts, and the Author has used the medium of Facebook in a way we haven't seen in any other novel - much of Sharon's chapters are written in the Facebook status update and commenting mode.
The Book has been self-published via Amazon KDP Select (~251 pages / released in January 2012).
About the Book
Adrienne is the love of Nick's life.
Six days after meeting her, Nick leaves home. He has no choice - they can’t live without each other.
Nick’s wife Ria and eldest daughter Cat find various ways of working out their anger and resentment, while fifteen year old Tara is caught in the middle. And then there is Nick’s cousin Caroline, with her own axe to grind when it comes to marital infidelity.
When tragedy strikes, they are all looking for someone to blame.
Lonely and trusting Sharon, seeking love and friendship on internet dating and social networking sites, has no suspicion of the part she plays in the drama – or that the people she meets in cyberspace might not be all that they seem.
Reviews (Excerpts)
- "I loved Terry's second novel, how could you not love the idea of meeting that 'perfect one'. This book is such a page turner but be warned, once you start it you won't want to put it down until the end. As with her last novel, the twists and turns in the stories keep you guessing until the very end when they all come together in a twist of fate you'd never guess. Brilliant and highly recommended." - Colette Corrigan
- "[...] The story was so real and believable and you really end up feeling like the characters are your best friends, you really care about them and what happens to them. The twist is surprising and unexpected which is always great. A great author and this book is fantastic value and a jolly good read."- Ms. S. Newton
- "I read this author's last book on the recommendation of a friend and enjoyed it very much; this one is even better. I love the way the story swaps between characters so that you see it from everyone's point of view, which is fascinating. I also love all the internet dating and Facebook connections in Sharon's chapters; it shows JUST what internet dating can be like; the Facebook stuff is spot on - I KNOW these characters! [...] " - Franceska Abagnale
About the Author
Terry has written many novels and short stories over the years. Her first two novels were written on a typewriter - re-writing meant typing the whole thing out again! The first few novels were a learning process; some she only ever showed to a couple of friends, though there was some interest from a couple of agents in 2000. She then went ten years without writing anything other than funny articles to amuse her friends, but in 2010 she got the idea for "You Wish", and since then she hasn't looked back.
Terry just completed her latest book, The Other Side, which is now also available on Amazon. She is currently co-writing a YA novel with teen coach Sarah Newton, which she hope to get finished in a couple of months. She will then start work on a novel about the lower echelons of the music business, which will be a more humorous one, and is a re-write of a story she wrote in 1995. She cannot wait to get started on this one - the main character is a 30 year old chap called Dave Bentley, who dreams of being a rock star.
Terry Tyler lives with her husband in the north east of England.
