About the Author
Katheryn Lane works full-time as a teacher, mother and wife, but somehow also finds time to manage being a part-time writer as well!
The Royal Sheikh is Katheryn Lane's first published novel which went on sale on Amazon last May through KDP. Katheryn always loved reading, and tried to read a wide variety of books, but she particularly likes romance. There’s something about the happy ever after ending that comes at the end of a great romance that leaves you with an unbeatable feel-good sensation.
Over the years Katheryn has written many romances and most of them are still lingering on her computer at various stages of completion. She has also written and published a lot of non-fiction in the field of education..
When she moved out to the Middle East several years ago, after her husband was offered a contract here, she couldn’t help but be inspired to write a desert-themed romance.
The actual idea for The Royal Sheikh came to her soon after they arrived. Katheryn was out in her car, exploring some of the country, when she came across a deserted beach on the Arabian Gulf. She wasn’t swept off her feet by a Royal Sheikh, but she did see a Bedouin tent and some camels out in the distance, which set her thinking about who might live there and what they might be like...
With so much inspiration around her (plus quite a lot of free time as far as Katheryn wasn’t working during her first year there) she managed to finish and edit the book, and finally got it published on Amazon.
Katheryn is hoping to finish a few more of her romances in the near future and publish those too.
